Chief Operating Officer
Centre for the Moving Image (CMI) is one of Scotland’s leading film organisations. It currently incorporates Scotland’s pre-eminent independent cinema, Filmhouse, the world’s longest continually running film festival, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Belmont Filmhouse in Aberdeen, and the Filmhouse and Belmont Filmhouse Café Bar. CMI is looking to recruit a Chief Operating Officer.
Reporting to the CEO, this is a new, wide-ranging, senior role in the organisation. The COO will lead the effective development, management and implementation of the CMI’s business operations, including Finance, HR, Technical, IT, Health and Safety, General Administration, Box Office and Front of House, Building and Office Management, Commercial Trading (including two Café Bars), Project Management, Contracts Management and Monitoring, Reporting and Evaluation.
The company has major ambitions to grow and develop in the coming years and this role will play a critical part in delivering against those ambitions. This includes the physical development of a reimagined Filmhouse.
