A great selection of fresh, imaginative and affordable food, available until 10pm every day. You can take a look at our full menu here.

The Café Bar is open from 8am Mon - Fri.

We are now offering a new expanded breakfast menu, available till Noon Mon - Sat and until 3pm on Sunday.

This includes Full Scottish and Vegetarian cooked breakfast options, and fresh fillings for breakfast rolls: Ayrshire middle bacon, pork & herb sausage, Stornoway black pudding, Quorn vegetarian sausage, Portobello mushroom and free-range eggs - either fried, poached or scrambled.

Drink

Choose from eleven draught beers, five real ales, twelve wines by the glass, loads of bottled beers and over thirty malt whiskies! We have a great selection from the best of Scotland's breweries, including Brewdog, Stewart's and Black Isle.

You can also take drinks from the bar into screenings - just ask the bar staff for a plastic glass!

Food for Thought offer: Between 3pm & 5pm each day all main meals are £7.

Quiz

Every month, our infamously tricky (but fun) film quiz, hosted by Sam Kitchener.

Free to enter, teams of up to eight people to be seated in the Café Bar by 9pm.

The next Filmhouse Quiz will take place on Sunday 8 January

Exhibition

Filmhouse currently displays a rotating selection of posters, selected from its own archives and often related to current Filmhouse programming. The extensive Filmhouse archives currently hold thousands of posters dating as far back as the early 1950s, often preserved from their original releases and screenings at Filmhouse, the Edinburgh International Film Festival and Edinburgh Film Guild.
