Now celebrating its tenth successful year, Edinburgh Interactive Festival is primed to showcase the continued popularity, growth and significance of video games.
Delivering a dynamic schedule across a wide range of industry sectors including film, television and interactive media, Edinburgh Interactive is an annual festival celebrating the creative culture of interactive entertainment. Exciting events from this year’s programme include a Free Public Play Area at Edinburgh’s Festival Square and Game Screening Sessions right here at Filmhouse.

These screenings are free of charge and take place on Wednesday 25th August from 6pm to 10pm and 26th August from 7pm to 9pm. Highlights include Microsoft: Kinect Sports – a look at the sports game that utilises Kinect for Xbox 360, Microsoft’s extraordinary new controller-free home entertainment system, and Doctor Who: The Adventure Game - Episode 3 – the hotly anticipated third part of the computer game series that accompanies the popular BBC television franchise.
