Made In Edinburgh invites you to enjoy Edinburgh's finest moments on the big screen!
Film plays an intrinsic part in Edinburgh's history, cultural and economic life but it is little publicised that as early as 1842 Adamson and Hill were pioneering photography techniques and an average of 250 national and international productions film in Edinburgh each year.
Made in Edinburgh is a new initiative to celebrate the moving image industry talent based in the Edinburgh City Region and to showcase its work alongside productions shot on location in and around Edinburgh.
Launching this month with Restless Natives and running until August 2009, Filmhouse will present a series of monthly screenings featuring the breadth of work inspired by our wonderful city and its surroundings. The moving image in all its forms will be celebrated by showing feature films, TV dramas, documentaries and animation.
The partners involved in the Made in Edinburgh project are Fimhouse, Edinburgh Film Focus, the Edinburgh Marketing Alliance - Edinburgh Inspiring Capital and the Edinburgh Producers Group.
