The blend of what is real and what is constructed has become a common trend in the documentary genre over the last decade. The 7th edition of the Ibero- American Documentary Film Festival in Scotland creates a safe space to open a dialogue between genres and disciplines.
In this inclusive space we will look into isolation, colonialism and migration. In a time of new walls being erected (Trump, Calais, Brexit...), growing support for extreme parties and increased inequality, and anger, we will explore how gender roles in society are changing.
Two new strands, and a focus on Portugal, frame the 2020 IberoDocs edition, that will take place from the 26th of February until the 15th of March in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
