Switzerland in 1971. Nora (Marie Leuenberger) is a young housewife and mother, living in a quaint little village with her husband and two sons. The Swiss countryside has been relatively untouched by the major social upheavals of the 1960s. Nora’s life is not affected either - she is a quiet person who is liked by everybody – until, that is, she starts to publicly fight for women’s suffrage, which the men are due to vote on in an upcoming ballot. A stirring and entertaining tale of political awakening, The Divine Order won the Tribeca Film Festival 2017 Audience Award.
