During the pandemic, as our cinemas closed their doors, we started Senior Selections at Home as a way of providing continuous support to our popular film club for people over 60. Co-designed with our senior volunteers, Senior Selections at Home consists of an introduction delivered by one of our volunteers on Zoom, followed by a virtual screening hosted at our Filmhouse at Home platform and finishing with a post-screening chat on Zoom over a cup of tea.

Running from February 2021 to February 2022, Senior Selections at Home had over 250 participants throughout its history, with screenings from classics such as Breathless to recent releases such as Another Round. Tuesday, the 15th of February, saw us say our farewells to Senior Selections at Home with a screening of Carol Reed's 1948 The Fallen Idol

We want to say a big thank you to our funders, James T Howat Charitable Trust, William Grant Foundation, Foyle Foundation, Nancie Massey Charitable Trust, Aberdeen City Council - Common Good Fund, to all who have joined us over the past year and to our wonderful volunteers. See you back in the cinema soon!

Filmhouse at Home is supported by the Weston Culture Fund.
